Introducing our Director of Grape Sales: Scott Williams

Meet Scott Williams, respected vineyard manager and viticulturist and the Director of Grape Sales at Coastal Vineyard Care Associates. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany-Biology from California State University, Fresno, and a Master’s Degree in Plant Protection from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Scott has proven to be a valuable addition to the Coastal Vineyard Care team. With a rich background in viticulture and wine, Scott brings a creative approach to his work, drawing inspiration from his father, Dr. Larry Williams, a renowned Professor of Viticulture and Enology at U.C. Davis, and his brother, Mark Williams, a winemaker in Napa Valley.

Having joined Coastal Vineyard Care in 2017, Scott is passionate about collaborating with winemakers to enhance their creative objectives. He believes in customizing farming approaches to meet clients' desires, acting as a vital link between vineyard owners and winemakers to ensure both economic and quality-oriented needs are met. Scott's extensive experience includes roles such as Director of Winegrowing and Brand Ambassador at Niven Family Wine Estates, Vineyard Manager for the Pacific Vineyard team under the guidance of George Donati, and Viticulturalist for J. Lohr Vineyards and Winery in Paso Robles.

His commitment to fostering long-lasting relationships with valued clients and his extensive industry contacts contribute to the continued success and growth of the Santa Barbara wine region.
